أَخْبَرَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا تَوْبَةُ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ قَالَ
قَالَ لِي الشَّعْبِيُّ أَرَأَيْتَ فُلَانًا الَّذِي يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ؟ قَعَدْتُ مَعَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ سَنَتَيْنِ أَوْ سَنَةً وَنِصْفًا فَمَا سَمِعْتُهُ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ شَيْئًا إِلَّا هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ
Translation

✧ Al-Sha'bi said to me: 'Have you seen so-and-so who says, "The Messenger of Allah said, the Messenger of Allah said"? I sat with Ibn 'Umar for two years, or a year and a half, and I never heard him narrate anything from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ except this hadith.'
