✧ Abu Bakr said, “O Messenger of Allah, command me with something I should say when I reach morning and when I reach evening.” He said, “Say: O Allah, Originator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, Lord of everything and its Sovereign, I bear witness that there is no god but You. I seek refuge in You from the evil of my own self, and from the evil of Satan and his entrapment.” He said, “Say it when you reach morning, when you reach evening, and when you take to your bed.”
