Sunan ad-Darimi 2684

✧ In the prohibition of entering upon women

أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بِسْطَامَ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

«لَا تَدْخُلُوا عَلَى النِّسَاءِ» قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِلَّا الْحَمْوُ قَالَ الْحَمْوُ الْمَوْتُ

Translation

✧ “Do not enter upon women.” It was said, “O Messenger of Allah, what about the brother-in-law?” He said, “The brother-in-law is death.”
