✧ On the day of the Confederates, Sa'd b. Mu'adh was shot and they severed his vein. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cauterized it with fire, and his hand swelled, so he bled it. He cauterized it again, and his hand swelled. When he saw that, he said, “O Allah, do not take my soul until my eye is cooled by the Banu Qurayzah.” His vein held, and not a drop fell until they surrendered to the judgment of Sa'd. He sent for him, and he ruled that their men be killed and their women and children be spared so that the Muslims might benefit from them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “You have hit upon Allah's judgment regarding them.” They were four hundred. When their killing was finished, his vein burst open and he died.
