✧ I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the delegation of Thaqif. He said: I was at the bottom of the tent, and there was no one in it except the Prophet ﷺ sleeping, when a man came to him and whispered to him. He said: "Go and kill him." Then he said: "Does he not testify that there is no god but Allah?" Shu'bah said: "And I testify that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah?" He said: "Yes." He said: "I have been commanded to fight the people until they say, 'There is no god but Allah.' If they say it, their blood and their wealth become forbidden to me except for its due."
