✧ In the expiation of a vow

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرٍو عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَدْرَكَ شَيْخًا يَمْشِي بَيْنَ ابْنَيْهِ فَقَالَ مَا شَأْنُ هَذَا الشَّيْخِ؟ فَقَالَ ابْنَاهُ نَذَرَ أَنْ يَمْشِيَ فَقَالَ «ارْكَبْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَنِيٌّ عَنْكَ وَعَنْ نَذْرِكَ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came upon an elderly man walking between his two sons. He said, "What is the matter with this elderly man?" His two sons said, "He vowed to walk." He said, "Ride, for Allah is free from need of you and of your vow."
