Sunan ad-Darimi 2299

✧ How many times is breastfeeding prohibited?

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ أَنْبَأََنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ عَمْرَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

«نَزَلَ الْقُرْآنُ بِعَشْرِ رَضَعَاتٍ مَعْلُومَاتٍ يُحَرِّمْنَ ثُمَّ نُسِخْنَ بِخَمْسٍ مَعْلُومَاتٍ فَتُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَهُنَّ مِمَّا يُقْرَأُ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ»

✧ The Qur'an was revealed with ten known sucklings that make prohibited, then they were abrogated by five known sucklings, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ died while they were still among what was recited of the Qur'an.
