Sunan ad-Darimi 2250

✧ At the feast

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَأَى عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ صُفْرَةً فَقَالَ «مَا هَذِهِ الصُّفْرَةُ؟» قَالَ تَزَوَّجْتُ امْرَأَةً عَلَى وَزْنِ نَوَاةٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ

Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ saw yellowness on `Abd al-Rahman b. `Awf and said, "What is this yellowness?" He said, "I married a woman for the weight of a date pit of gold."
