أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ حَدَّثَنِي الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ جَابِرٍ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ اللَّجْلَاجِ وَسَأَلَهُ مَكْحُولٌ أَنْ يُحَدِّثَهُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَائِشٍ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ
«رَأَيْتُ رَبِّي فِي أَحْسَنِ صُورَةٍ» قَالَ فِيمَ يَخْتَصِمُ الْمَلَأُ الْأَعْلَى؟ فَقُلْتُ «أَنْتَ أَعْلَمُ يَا رَبِّ» قَالَ فَوَضَعَ كَفَّهُ بَيْنَ كَتِفَيَّ فَوَجَدْتُ بَرْدَهَا بَيْنَ ثَدْيَيَّ فَعَلِمْتُ مَا فِي السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَتَلَا {وَكَذَلِكَ نُرِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ مَلَكُوتَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَلِيَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُوقِنِينَ}

✧ "I saw my Lord in the most beautiful form." He said: About what does the Most High Assembly dispute? I said: "You know best, O Lord." He said: Then He placed His palm between my shoulders, and I found its coolness between my breasts, and I learned what is in the heavens and the earth, and He recited: {And thus We showed Abraham the dominion of the heavens and the earth, so that he would be of those who are certain}.
