✧ How will you be when a trial envelops you in which the old grow senile and the young grow up, and when something of it is abandoned, it is said, “The Sunnah has been abandoned”? They said, “And when will that be?” He said, “When your scholars pass away, your ignorant ones increase, your reciters increase, your jurists decrease, your rulers increase, your trustworthy ones decrease, the worldly life is sought by the deeds of the Hereafter, and understanding is sought for other than the religion.”
