أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ عَنْ إِسْحاَقَ بْنِ يُوسُفَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ رُفَيْعٍ قَالَ

قُلْتُ لِأَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ حَدِّثْنِي بِشَيْءٍ عَقَلْتَهُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَيْنَ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ يَوْمَ التَّرْوِيَةِ؟ قَالَ «بِمِنًى» قَالَ قُلْتُ فَأَيْنَ صَلَّى الْعَصْرَ يَوْمَ النَّفْرِ؟ قَالَ «بِالْأَبْطَحِ» ثُمَّ قَالَ اصْنَعْ مَا يَصْنَعُ أُمَرَاؤُكَ

Translation

✧ I said to Anas b. Malik, "Tell me something you understood from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: where did he pray zuhr on the day of tarwiyah?" He said, «In Mina.» I said, "Where did he pray asr on the day of nafr?" He said, «In al-Abtah.» Then he said, "Do as your rulers do."
