أَخْبَرَنَا هَارُونُ عَنْ حَفْصٍ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ قَالَ
مَا سَمِعْتُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ يَقُولُ قَطُّ حَلَالٌ وَلَا حَرَامٌ إِنَّمَا كَانَ يَقُولُ «كَانُوا يتكْرهونَ وَكَانُوا يَسْتَحِبُّونَ»
Translation

✧ I heard Ibrahim saying, "A cat is neither halal (permissible) nor haram (forbidden). He only used to say, 'They (the companions) used to dislike it while they used to prefer (keeping other animals).'"
