✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade continuous fasting. Some men among the Muslims said to him, "But you fast continuously." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I am not like you. I spend the night while my Lord feeds me and gives me drink." When they refused to stop continuous fasting, he fasted continuously with them for a day, then another day. Then they sighted the new moon, and he said, "Had it been delayed, I would have increased you," as if to punish them when they refused to stop.
