سَمِعْتُ شَرِيكًا وَسَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ الْمَرْأَةُ يَنْقَطِعُ عَنْهَا الدَّمُ أَيَأْتِيهَا زَوْجُهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ تَغْتَسِلَ؟ فَقَالَ قَالَ عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ أَنَّهُ «رَخَّصَ فِي ذَلِكَ لِلشَّبِقِ»

✧ I heard Sharik when a man asked him: A woman from whom the blood has ceased, may her husband come to her before she performs the ritual bath? He said: Abd al-Malik said from Ata that he "granted a dispensation in that for the one overcome by desire."
