✧ On Clarifying the Place Where Tayammum Is Permissible and Its Distance from the Town and Seeking Water

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ وَإِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ وَعَبْدُ الْبَاقِي بْنُ قَانِعٍ قَالُوا نا إِبْرَاهِيمُ الْحَرْبِيُّ نا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ نا عَزْرَةُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ

فَقَالَ أَصَابَتْنِي جَنَابَةٌ وَإِنِّي تَمَعَّكْتُ فِي التُّرَابِ قَالَ اضْرِبْ فَضَرَبَ بِيَدِهِ فَمَسَحَ وَجْهَهُ ثُمَّ ضَرَبَ بِيَدِهِ أُخْرَى فَمَسَحَ بِهِمَا يَدَيْهِ إِلَى الْمِرْفَقَيْنِ

✧ He said: I was in a state of janabah and I rolled in the dust. He said: Strike. So he struck with his hand and wiped his face, then struck with his other hand and wiped his two hands up to the elbows.
