✧ Tayammum and That It Is Performed for Every Prayer

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى نا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ وَإِنْ كُنْتُمْ مَرْضَى أَوْ عَلَى سَفَرٍ النساء 43 قَالَ إِذَا كَانَتْ بِالرَّجُلِ الْجِرَاحَةُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَوِ الْقُرُوحُ أَوِ الْجُدَرِيُّ فَيُجْنِبُ فَيَخَافُ أَنْ يَمُوتَ إِنِ اغْتَسَلَ يَتَيَمَّمُ

✧ From Ibn Abbas regarding His statement: "And if you are ill or on a journey" [al-Nisa: 43], he said: When a man has a wound in the path of Allah, or sores, or smallpox, and then becomes junub, and fears that he may die if he performs ghusl, he should perform tayammum.
