✧ What the Junub Should Do When He Wants to Sleep, Eat, or Drink

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ نا الْحَسَّانِيُّ نا وَكِيعٌ نا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ قَالَ

كُنَّا مَعَ سَلْمَانَ فَخَرَجَ فَقَضَى حَاجَتَهُ ثُمَّ جَاءَ فَقُلْتُ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ لَوْ تَوَضَّأْتَ لَعَلَّنَا أَنْ نَسْأَلَكَ عَنْ آيَاتٍ فَقَالَ إِنِّي لَسْتُ أَمَسُّهُ إِنَّمَا لَا يَمَسُّهُ إِلَّا الْمُطَهَّرُونَ فَقَرَأَ عَلَيْنَا مَا يَشَاءُ كُلُّهُمْ ثِقَاتٌ

Translation

✧ We were with Salman. He went out and relieved himself, then came back. I said: O Abu Abd Allah, if you would perform wudu, perhaps we might ask you about verses. He said: I do not touch it; none touches it except the purified. Then he recited to us whatever he wished. All of them are trustworthy.
