نا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مَحْمُودٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ الْمُتَوَكِّلِ حَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى الضَّبِّيُّ حَدَّثَنِي عَبَّادُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ الْمُهَلَّبِيُّ قَالَ

أَدْرَكْتُ فِينَا يَعْنِي الْمَهَالِبَةَ امْرَأَةً صَارَتْ جَدَّةً وَهِيَ بِنْتُ ثَمَانِ عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً وَلَدَتْ لِتِسْعِ سِنِينَ ابْنَةً فَوَلَدَتِ ابْنَتُهَا لِتِسْعِ سِنِينَ فَصَارَتْ هِيَ جَدَّةً وَهِيَ بِنْتُ ثَمَانِ عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً

✧ I encountered among us—meaning the Mahaliba—a woman who became a grandmother while she was eighteen years old. She gave birth at the age of nine to a daughter, and her daughter gave birth at the age of nine, so she became a grandmother while she was eighteen years old.
