نا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ نا نُعَيْمُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ بِإِسْنَادِهِ مِثْلَهُ لَمْ يُتَابَعْ سُفْيَانُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ عَلَى قَوْلِهِ الرَّجُلُ جُبَارٌ وَهُوَ وَهْمٌ

لِأَنَّ الثِّقَاتِ الَّذِينَ قَدَّمْنَا أَحَادِيثَهُمْ خَالَفُوهُ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرُوا ذَلِكَ وَكَذَلِكَ رَوَاهُ أَبُو صَالِحٍ السَّمَّانُ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجُ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سِيرِينَ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ وَغَيْرُهُمْ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرُوا فِيهِ الرَّجُلُ جُبَارٌ وَهُوَ الْمَحْفُوظُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

✧ Because the trustworthy narrators whose hadiths we have presented contradicted him and did not mention that. Likewise Abu Salih al-Samman, Abd al-Rahman al-Araj, Muhammad b. Sirin, Muhammad b. Ziyad, and others narrated it from Abu Hurayrah and did not mention in it 'the man is without liability,' and that is the preserved version from Abu Hurayrah.
