ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ نا سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْأُمَوِيُّ نا أَبِي نا يَزِيدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ ابْنٍ لِأَبِي سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ

قُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَذِهِ الْجِمَارُ الَّتِي يُرْمَى بِهَا كُلَّ عَامٍ فَنَحْتَسِبُ أَنَّهَا تَنْقُصُ فَقَالَ إِنَّهُ مَا تُقُبِّلَ مِنْهَا رُفِعَ وَلَوْلَا ذَلِكَ لَرَأَيْتَهَا أَمْثَالَ الْجِبَالِ

✧ We said: 'O Messenger of Allah, these are the Jamarat that are stoned every year, and we think that they decrease.' He said: 'Whatever is accepted from them is raised, and were it not for that, you would see them like mountains.'
