حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُبَيْدٍ الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ثنا أَبُو خُرَاسَانَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ السَّكَنِ ثنا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ ثنا أَبُو عُمَرَ الْقَصَّارُ كَيْسَانُ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ بِلَالٍ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ

إِذَا صُمْتُمْ فَاسْتَاكُوا بِالْغَدَاةِ وَلَا تَسْتَاكُوا بِالْعَشِيِّ فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنْ صَائِمٍ تَيَبَّسُ شَفَتَاهُ بِالْعَشِيِّ إِلَّا كَانَتْ نُورًا بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

✧ When you fast, use siwak in the morning, but do not use siwak in the evening, for there is no fasting person whose lips become dry in the evening except that it will be light between his eyes on the Day of Resurrection.
