✧ Sunrise After Breaking the Fast

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ثنا مُعَاذٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا يَحْيَى عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ
فِي رَجُلٍ مَرِضَ فِي رَمَضَانَ ثُمَّ صَحَّ وَلَمْ يَصُمْ حَتَّى أَدْرَكَهُ رَمَضَانُ آخَرُ قَالَ يَصُومُ الَّذِي أَدْرَكَهُ وَيُطْعِمُ عَنِ الْأَوَّلِ لِكُلِّ يَوْمٍ مَدًّا مِنْ حِنْطَةٍ لِكُلِّ مِسْكِينٍ فَإِذَا فَرَغَ فِي هَذَا صَامَ الَّذِي فَرَّطَ فِيهِ إِسْنَادٌ صَحِيحٌ مَوْقُوفٌ

✧ About a man who fell ill in Ramadan, then recovered but did not fast until another Ramadan overtook him. He said: 'He fasts the one that overtook him and feeds for the first, for each day a mudd of wheat for each poor person. Then when he finishes this one, he fasts the one in which he was negligent.' [A sound chain of narration, stopped at the Companion.]
