  • Dāraquṭnī

machine translationAl-Dāraquṭnī said: its chain of transmission is good (ḥasan).

    in سنن الدارقطني, p. 2337
  • Ishbīlī

machine translationSome of them gave as its defect the disagreement over its chain of transmission, but that does no harm, because those who transmitted it with a connected chain (musnad) are trustworthy (thiqāt).

    in سنن الدارقطني, p. 2337
  • Abū Bakr Aḥmad b. al-Ḥusayn al-Bayhaqī

machine translationI saw some of our companions declare the ḥadīth of ʿĀʾishah weak (ḍaʿīf) on the basis of what is narrated from ʿUmārah b. ʿUmayr, from a woman, from ʿĀʾishah, concerning a woman who died owing fasts: she said, "Food should be given on her behalf." He said: And it is narrated by another route from ʿĀʾishah that she said, "Do not fast on behalf of your dead, but feed on their behalf." Then he said: "There is some doubt about both of them," and he added nothing to that.
