حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ثنا عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ ثنا أَبُو مَالِكٍ الْأَشْجَعِيُّ ثنا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الْجَدَلِيُّ جَدِيلَةَ قَيْسٍ
أَنَّ أَمِيرَ مَكَّةَ خَطَبَنَا فَنَشَدَ النَّاسَ فَقَالَ مَنْ رَأَى الْهِلَالَ لِيَوْمِ كَذَا وَكَذَا ثُمَّ قَالَ عَهِدَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ نَنْسُكَ فَإِنْ لَمْ نَرَهُ وَشَهِدَ شَاهِدَا عَدْلٍ نَسَكْنَا بِشَهَادَتِهِمَا قَالَ فَسَأَلْتُ الْحُسَيْنَ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ مَنْ أَمِيرُ مَكَّةَ قَالَ لَا أَدْرِي ثُمَّ لَقِيَنِي بَعْدُ فَقَالَ هُوَ الْحَارِثُ بْنُ حَاطِبٍ أَخُو مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَاطِبٍ
