✧ Zakat on Camels and Sheep

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ثنا يَحْيَى الْقَطَّانُ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ قَالَ

كَانَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ مِنْ بَنَاتِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ تُصْدَقُ أَلْفَ دِينَارٍ فَتَجْعَلُ لَهَا مِنْ ذَلِكَ حُلِيًّا بِأَرْبَعِمِائَةِ دِينَارٍ وَلَا يُرَى فِيهِ صَدَقَةٌ

Translation

Chain of narrators

✧ A woman from the daughters of Abdullah b. Umar would be given a dowry of a thousand dinars, and she would have jewelry made for her from that worth four hundred dinars, and no zakah was considered due on it.
