حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ بُهْلُولٍ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْعَمِّيُّ ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ الْقَاضِي ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ نَحْوَهُ وَقَالَ
كَأَنَّكُمْ تَقْرَءُونَ خَلْفِي قُلْنَا أَجَلْ هَذَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ فَلَا تَفْعَلُوا إِلَّا بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ فَإِنَّهُ لَا صَلَاةَ إِلَّا بِهَا
Translation

✧ "It is as if you are reciting behind me." We said: "Indeed, this is true, O Messenger of Allah ﷺ." He said: "Do not do so except with the Opening of the Book, for there is no prayer without it."
