حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْبَزَّازُ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَرَفَةَ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ قَالَ

كَانَ عُثْمَانُ إِذَا افْتَتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ يَقُولُ سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ وَتَبَارَكَ اسْمُكَ وَتَعَالَى جَدُّكَ وَلَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُكَ يُسْمِعُنَا ذَلِكَ

Translation

Chain of narrators

  3. Abū Bakr b. ʿAyyāsh

  5. Abū Wāʾil

✧ Uthman, when he began the prayer, would say: Glory be to You, O Allah, and with Your praise; blessed is Your name; exalted is Your majesty; and there is no god other than You – he would let us hear that.
