Sunan al-Daraqutni 1047

✧ The urging for the rows to be straight

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ أنا حَمِدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ زَاجٌ نا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْجُدِّيُّ نا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ شَدَّادٍ الْجُرَيْرِيُّ نا ثَابِتٌ الْبُنَانِيُّ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

إِنْ كَانَ الْغَرِيبُ لَيَدْخُلُ مَسْجِدَ الْمَدِينَةِ وَقَدْ نُودِيَ بِالْمَغْرِبِ فَيَرَى أَنَّ النَّاسَ قَدْ صَلُّوا مِنْ كَثْرَةِ مَنْ يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْمَغْرِبِ

✧ The stranger would enter the mosque of Madinah after the call to Maghrib had been given, and he would think that the people had already prayed because of the large number of those who prayed two rak‘ahs before Maghrib.
