The Etiquettes of Ihram

وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ - رضى الله عنه - أَنَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -قَالَ: { إِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَرَّمَ مَكَّةَ وَدَعَا لِأَهْلِهَا, وَإِنِّي حَرَّمْتُ اَلْمَدِينَةَ كَمَا حَرَّمَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ مَكَّةَ، وَإِنِّي دَعَوْتُ فِي صَاعِهَا وَمُدِّهَا بِمِثْلَيْ <sup>1</sup> مَا دَعَا <sup>2</sup> إِبْرَاهِيمُ لِأَهْلِ مَكَّةَ } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ <sup>3</sup>.

Translation

'Abdullah bin Zaid bin ’Asim (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah said, "Ibrahim declared Makkah as a Haram (Sanctuary) and made supplication for its people, and I declare Madinah to be a Haram just as Ibrahim declared Makkah as a Haram, and I made supplication for its Mudd and Sa’ (refer to hadith no. 650), just as Ibrahim made supplication for the people of Makkah." Agreed upon.
