✧ When this verse was revealed to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: 'Indeed, you are to die, and indeed, they are to die. Then indeed, on the Day of Resurrection, you will dispute before your Lord,' al-Zubayr said: O Messenger of Allah, will what was between us in this world be repeated for us along with the specific sins? He said: Yes, it will be repeated for you until every rightful owner is given his due. Al-Zubayr said: Indeed, the matter is severe.

machine translation"And what delight are we to be asked about, when it is only the two black things (dates and water)?" He said: "Indeed, that will come to be." It was narrated by Sufyān b. ʿUyaynah, from Muḥammad b. ʿAmr, from Yaḥyā, from ʿAbdullāh b. al-Zubayr, from al-Zubayr. Ziyād b. Ayyūb narrated it from Ibn ʿUyaynah and did not mention Ibn al-Zubayr in it; he cut it short and made it mursal (disconnected by omitting the Companion). The correct statement is that of the one who connected it.
