حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، نَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، نَا أَبُو الْعَنْبَسِ - يَعْنِي سَعِيدَ بْنَ كَثِيرٍ - قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ النَّاسَ حَتَّى يَشْهَدُوا أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، وَيُقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتُوا الزَّكَاةَ، فَإِذَا فَعَلُوا ذَلِكَ حَرُمَتْ عَلَيَّ دِمَاؤُهُمْ وَأَمْوَالُهُمْ وَحِسَابُهُمْ عَلَى اللهِ
Translation

✧ I was commanded to fight the people until they testify that there is no god but God, and they establish the prayer and give the zakat. If they do that, their blood and their property become inviolable for me, and their reckoning is with God.
