✧ I am the master of the people on the Day of Resurrection. When his companions saw that, he said, 'Will you not say: How?' They said, 'How, O Messenger of Allah?' He said, 'The people will stand before the Lord of the Worlds; the caller will make them hear, and the sight will pierce them, and the sun will draw near to their heads, its heat will intensify upon them, and its nearness will be hard on them. They will reach extreme distress and anguish from what they are in. They will come to Adam ﷺ and say, "O Adam, you are the father of mankind; Allah created you with His hand and breathed into you of His spirit, and commanded the angels and they prostrated to you. Will you not intercede for us with your Lord? Do you not see the evil we are in?" Adam will say, "My Lord, Blessed and Exalted, has become angry today with an anger the like of which He has never been angry before and will never be angry after. He commanded me with a command and I disobeyed Him and obeyed Satan; He forbade me from eating from the tree and I disobeyed Him. I fear that He may cast me into the Fire. Go to someone other than me; myself, myself." They will go to Noah ﷺ and say, "O Noah, you are the Prophet of Allah and the first one sent; intercede for us with your Lord. Do you not see the evil we are in?" Noah will say, "My Lord, Blessed and Exalted, has become angry today with an anger the like of which He has never been angry before and will never be angry after. I had a supplication and I supplicated against my people and they were destroyed. I fear that He may cast me into the Fire. Go to someone other than me; myself, myself." They will go to Abraham ﷺ and say, "O Abraham, you are the close friend of Allah; the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth have heard of your friendship. Intercede for us with your Lord. Do you not see the evil we are in?" He will say, "My Lord, Blessed and Exalted, has become angry today with an anger the like of which He has never been angry before and will never be angry after, and I fear that He may cast me into the Fire." And he mentioned his saying about the star, "This is my Lord," and his saying, "Rather, the biggest of them did it," and his saying, "Indeed, I am ill." "Go to someone other than me; myself, myself." They will go to Moses ﷺ and say, "O Moses, you are the Prophet of Allah; Allah chose you with His messages and spoke to you directly. Intercede for us with your Lord. Do you not see the evil we are in?" Moses ﷺ will say, "My Lord, Blessed and Exalted, has become angry today with an anger the like of which He has never been angry before and will never be angry after. I killed a soul for which I was not commanded, and I fear that He may cast me into the Fire. Go to someone other than me; myself, myself." They will go to Jesus ﷺ and say, "O Jesus, you are the Prophet of Allah, His word and His spirit which He cast to Mary. Intercede for us with your Lord. Do you not see the evil we are in?" He will say, "My Lord has become angry today with an anger the like of which He has never been angry before and will never be angry after, and I fear that He may cast me into the Fire." Umarah said, "I do not know if he mentioned a sin." "Go to someone other than me; myself, myself." They will come to me and say, "You are the Messenger of Allah and the seal of the prophets; Allah has forgiven you your past sins and future sins. Intercede for us with your Lord." I will go and come beneath the Throne and fall prostrate to my Lord, Blessed and Exalted. He will raise me to a station that no one before me has stood and no one after me will stand. He will say, "O Muhammad, intercede and you will be interceded; ask and you will be given." I will say, "My ummah, O Lord, my ummah." He will say, "O Muhammad, admit those who have no reckoning from the right gate, and they share with the people in the other gates. By the One in Whose hand is my soul, what is between the two sides of the gate is as far as the distance between Busra and Makkah, or Makkah and Hajar." Umarah said, "I do not know which of them he said." This hadith is not known to be narrated from the Prophet ﷺ with this wording except from this route, and we do not know anyone who narrated it from Umarah except Jarir.
