وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ:

أَخَذَ رَجُلٌ ابْنَهُ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: أَتَرْحَمُهُ يَا فُلَانُ ؟ قَالَ: إِي وَاللهِ، إِنِّي لَأَرْحَمُهُ. قَالَ: فَاللهُ أَرْحَمُ بِهِ مِنْكَ

Translation

Chain of narrators

✧ A man took his son near the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the Prophet ﷺ said, 'Do you have mercy on him, O so-and-so?' He said, 'Yes, by Allah, I do have mercy on him.' He said, 'Allah is more merciful to him than you.'
