وَنَاهُ أَبُو الْخَطَّابِ زِيَادُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ: نَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ وَرْدَانَ قَالَ: نَا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ مَوْلًى لِأَبِي بَكْرَةَ يَعْنِي مُهَاجِرًا، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ قَالَ: قَالَ لِي أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ

قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، أَمَعَكَ شَيْءٌ ؟ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ. قَالَ: فَأَخْرَجْتُ تَمْرًا مِنْ مِزْوَدٍ مَعِي فَإِذَا فِيهِ سَبْعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ تَمْرَةً، فَوَضَعَهُنَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عِنْدَهُ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: “O Abū Hurayrah, do you have anything with you?” He said: I said: “Yes.” He said: So I took out dates from a provision bag I had, and there were twenty-seven dates in it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ placed them down with him.
