وَبِهِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ يَقُولُ:

لَيْسَ الْمِسْكِينُ بِالطَّوَّافِ الَّذِي تَرُدُّهُ التَّمْرَةُ وَالتَّمْرَتَانِ وَالْأُكْلَةُ وَالْأُكْلَتَانِ، وَلَكِنَّ الْمِسْكِينَ الَّذِي لَا يَجِدُ غِنًى وَلَا يَسْأَلُ النَّاسَ إِلْحَافًا

Translation

✧ The poor person is not the one who goes around asking people and is turned away by a date or two dates or a morsel or two morsels. Rather, the poor person is the one who does not find enough to suffice him and does not beg people importunately.
