✧ What 'Abd al-Rahman al-A'raj narrated from Abu Hurayrah

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هِشَامٍ، نَا حَفْصٌ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ خَطَبَ فَقَالَ: أَيُّ يَوْمٍ هَذَا ؟ قَالُوا: يَوْمٌ حَرَامٌ، قَالَ: فَإِنَّ دِمَاءَكُمْ وَأَمْوَالَكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ حَرَامٌ، كَحُرْمَةِ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا فِي شَهْرِكُمْ هَذَا فِي بَلَدِكُمْ هَذَا

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave a sermon and said, "Which day is this?" They said, "A sacred day." He said, "Indeed your blood and your wealth are sacred to you, like the sanctity of this day of yours, in this month of yours, in this city of yours."
