✧ What 'Abd al-Rahman al-A'raj narrated from Abu Hurayrah

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَبِيبِ بْنِ عَرَبِيٍّ قَالَ: نَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، نَا أَبِي، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ:

احْتَجَّ آدَمُ وَمُوسَى، فَقَالَ مُوسَى لِآدَمَ: أَنْتَ آدَمُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكَ اللهُ بِيَدِهِ، وَنَفَخَ فِيكَ مِنْ رُوحِهِ، أَخْرَجْتَنَا - أَوْ أَخْرَجْتَ ذُرِّيَّتَكَ - مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ قَالَ: فَحَجَّ آدَمُ مُوسَى

✧ Adam and Musa argued. Musa said to Adam: You are Adam whom Allah created with His hand and breathed into you of His spirit; you brought us out—or you brought your offspring out—of Paradise. He said: So Adam argued against Musa and won the argument.
