✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said—and a funeral procession passed by him, so he said: “How much did he leave behind?” They said, “Two dinars.” He said, “Two marks of cautery.” He said: So whenever a funeral procession passed by him, he would say, “Does he owe a debt?” If they said, “Yes,” he would say, “Did he leave enough to pay it?” If they said, “Yes,” he would pray over him, and if they said, “No,” he would not pray over him.
