✧ Death will be brought as a ram with large eyes and made to stand between Paradise and the Fire. It will be said, 'O people of Paradise,' and they will crane their necks and look. It will be said, 'O people of the Fire,' and they will crane their necks and look. Then it will be slaughtered, and it will be said, 'Eternity, no death.'

machine translationAl-Aʿmash narrates it from Abū Ṣāliḥ, and there is disagreement about it from him. ʿAlī b. Mushir, al-Musayyib b. Sharīk, Ismāʿīl b. Ibrāhīm al-Taymī, Abū Muʿāwiyah, Jarīr, al-Thawrī, Muḥammad b. ʿUbayd and Yaʿlā b. ʿUbayd narrated it from al-Aʿmash, from Abū Ṣāliḥ, from Abū Saʿīd. Abū Badr Shujāʿ b. al-Walīd said the same from al-Aʿmash, except that he did not trace it back to the Prophet ﷺ. Asbāṭ b. Muḥammad differed from them, narrating it from al-Aʿmash, from Abū Ṣāliḥ, from Abū Hurayrah. ʿĀṣim b. Abī al-Najūd likewise narrated it from Abū Ṣāliḥ, from Abū Hurayrah. The sound (ṣaḥīḥ) version is the hadith of Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī.
