✧ A man never did any good at all, and he used to lend money to people. He would say to his servant: 'Take what is easy and leave what is difficult, and overlook, perhaps Allah will overlook us.' When he died, Allah—Blessed and Exalted—said: 'Did you ever do any good for Me?' He said: 'No, except that I had a servant and I used to say: Overlook, perhaps Allah will overlook us.' He said: 'Indeed I have overlooked you.'
