✧ When God created Adam, He wiped his back and every soul He would create until the Day of Resurrection fell from his back. Then He set a lifespan for each of them. Adam ﷺ said: 'Who are these?' He said - I think he said: 'Your descendants.' He said: And there was a man among them with light between his eyes. Adam said: 'Who is this?' He said: 'This is a man from your progeny, in the last of the nations, called David.' He said: 'And how much lifespan have You given him?' He said: 'Sixty years.' He said: 'Then add to him forty years from my lifespan.' When God completed Adam's lifespan, the Angel of Death came to him and he said: 'Forty years of my lifespan remain.' He said: 'Did you not give them to your son David?' The Messenger of God ﷺ said: 'He denied, so his descendants denied; he forgot, so his descendants forgot; and he erred, so his descendants erred.'
