حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ قَالَ: نَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَسِيدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمَّارِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَذْكُرُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ حَدَّثَهُمْ

أَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ جَاءَهُ فَصَلَّى بِهِ الصَّلَوَاتِ وَقْتَيْنِ وَقْتَيْنِ إِلَّا الْمَغْرِبَ؛ جَاءَنِي فَصَلَّى الظُّهْرَ حِينَ كَانَ فِي مِثْلِ شِرَاكِ نَعْلِي، ثُمَّ جَاءَنِي فَصَلَّى بِيَ الْعَصْرَ حِينَ كَانَ فِي مِثْلِي، ثُمَّ جَاءَنِي فِي الْمَغْرِبِ فَصَلَّى بِي سَاعَةَ غَابَتِ الشَّمْسُ، ثُمَّ جَاءَنِي فِي الْعَشَاءِ فَصَلَّى بِي سَاعَةَ الشَّفَقِ، ثُمَّ جَاءَنِي فِي الْفَجْرِ فَصَلَّى بِي سَاعَةَ بَرَقَ الْفَجْرُ، ثُمَّ جَاءَنِي مِنَ الْغَدِ فَصَلَّى بِيَ الظُّهْرَ حِينَ كَانَ الْفَيْءُ مِثْلِي، ثُمَّ جَاءَنِي فِي الْعَصْرِ فَصَلَّى بِي حِينَ كَانَ فِي مِثْلِي، ثُمَّ جَاءَنِي فِي الْمَغْرِبِ فَصَلَّى بِي سَاعَةَ غَابَتِ الشَّمْسُ لَمْ يُغَيِّرْهُ عَنْ وَقْتِهِ الْأَوَّلِ، ثُمَّ جَاءَنِي فِي الْعِشَاءِ فَصَلَّى بِي حِينَ ذَهَبَ ثُلُثُ اللَّيْلِ الْأَوَّلُ، ثُمَّ أَسْفَرَ بِي فِي الْفَجْرِ حَتَّى لَا أَرَى فِي السَّمَاءِ نَجْمًا، ثُمَّ قَالَ: مَا بَيْنَ هَذَيْنِ وَقْتٌ

✧ Gabriel ﷺ came to him and prayed with him the prayers at two times, two times, except Maghrib. He came to me and prayed Zuhr when it was like the strap of my sandal; then he came to me and prayed 'Asr with me when it was like me; then he came to me at Maghrib and prayed with me when the sun had set; then he came to me at 'Isha and prayed with me at the time of twilight; then he came to me at Fajr and prayed with me when dawn broke. Then he came to me the next day and prayed Zuhr with me when the shadow was like me; then he came to me at 'Asr and prayed with me when it was like me; then he came to me at Maghrib and prayed with me when the sun had set, not changing it from its first time; then he came to me at 'Isha and prayed with me when the first third of the night had passed; then he made it light for me at Fajr until I could not see a star in the sky. Then he said: Between these two is the time.
