حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ، قَالَا: نَا سَلْمُ بْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ:

قَالَ لِي النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: إِنِّي أُحِبُّ لَكَ مَا أُحِبُّ لِنَفْسِي، لَا تَفْتَحْ عَلَى الْإِمَامِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ، وَلَا تَعْبَثْ بِالْحَصَى فِي الصَّلَاةِ، وَلَا تُفَقِّعْ أَصَابِعَكَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ، وَلَا تَلْتَفِتْ عَنْ يَمِينِكِ وَلَا عَنْ شِمَالِكَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ، وَلَا تَفْتَرِشْ ذِرَاعَيْكَ افْتِرَاشَ السَّبُعِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ

Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ said to me: 'I love for you what I love for myself. Do not prompt the imam during the prayer, do not fiddle with pebbles during the prayer, do not crack your fingers during the prayer, do not turn to your right or left during the prayer, and do not spread your forearms like a beast of prey during the prayer.'
