حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ: نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ: نَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ;
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ فَسَأَلَهُ، يَعْنِي بَعْضَ الْقَوْمِ: أَنَقَصَ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ ؟ - أَحْسَبُهُ قَالَ: - فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ ثُمَّ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ.

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed Zuhr as two rak'ahs then said the salam. Some of the people asked him: Has the prayer been shortened? – I think he said – So he prayed two rak'ahs, then said the salam, then prostrated twice.
