✧ A new moon would pass, then another, and no fire would be kindled in any of the houses of the Messenger of God ﷺ for bread or cooking. He said, “Then how did they live, O Abu Hurayrah?” He said, “By the two black things: dates and water. And he had neighbors among the Ansar, may God reward them well, who had milk animals and would send them some milk.”
