وَحَدَّثَنَا صَدَقَةُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْعَمِّيُّ قَالَ: نَا أَنَسُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ قَالَ: نَا مُصْعَبُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ;

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ لَقِيَ حُذَيْفَةَ فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يُصَافِحَهُ، فَتَنَحَّى حُذَيْفَةُ، فَقَالَ لَهُ: إِنِّي جُنُبٌ ! فَقَالَ: إِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ إِذَا صَافَحَ أَخَاهُ تَحَاتُّ خَطَايَاهُمَا كَمَا تَتَحَاتُّ وَرَقُ الشَّجَرِ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ met Hudhayfah and wanted to shake his hand, but Hudhayfah withdrew. He said: I am junub. The Prophet ﷺ said: When a believer shakes his brother's hand, their sins fall off as leaves fall from a tree.
