حَدَّثَنَا الْجَرَّاحُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ، قَالَ: نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَ: نَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ خُثَيْمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ:

مَهْلًا عَنِ اللهِ مَهْلًا. فَإِنَّ اللهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ، فَلَوْلَا صِبْيَانٌ رُضَّعٌ وَرِجَالٌ رُكَّعٌ وَبَهَائِمُ رُتَّعٌ صُبَّ عَلَيْكُمُ الْعَذَابُ صَبًّا، أَوْ أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْعَذَابُ

Translation

✧ Slow down, by God, slow down. For indeed God, Blessed and Exalted, is severe in punishment. Were it not for suckling infants, men bowing in prayer, and grazing beasts, punishment would have been poured upon you abundantly, or punishment would have been sent down upon you.
