كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ حَمْزَةُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ يُخْبِرُ أَنَّ عَمَّهُ سُفْيَانَ بْنَ حَمْزَةَ حَدَّثَهُ، عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ:

فُضِّلْتُ بِخِصَالٍ سِتٍّ لَمْ يُعْطَهُنَّ أَحَدٌ قَبْلِي: غُفِرَ لِي مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِي وَمَا تَأَخَّرَ، وَأُحِلَّتْ لِيَ الْغَنَائِمُ وَلَمْ تَحِلَّ لِأَحَدٍ قَبْلِي، وَجُعِلَتْ أُمَّتِي خَيْرَ الْأُمَمِ، وَجُعِلَتْ لِيَ الْأَرْضُ مَسْجِدًا وَطَهُورًا، وَأُعْطِيتُ الْكَوْثَرَ، وَنُصِرْتُ بِالرُّعْبِ، وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنَّ صَاحِبَكُمْ لَصَاحِبُ لِوَاءِ الْحَمْدِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ تَحْتَهُ آدَمُ فَمَنْ دُونَهُ

✧ I was favored with six qualities that none before me was given: I was forgiven my past and future sins; war booty was made lawful for me, and it was not lawful for anyone before me; my community was made the best of communities; the earth was made a mosque and a purifier for me; I was given al-Kawthar; and I was aided by awe. By the One in Whose hand is my soul, indeed your companion is the holder of the banner of praise on the Day of Resurrection, with Adam and those below him under it.
