حَدَّثَنَا بِهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، عَنْ مُؤَمَّلِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ. وَرَوَاهُ هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، وَأَخْطَأَ فِي إِسْنَادِهِ فَرَوَاهُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، وَالْمَعْنَى فِيهِ وَاحِدٌ وَإِنِ اخْتَلَفَتِ الْأَلْفَاظُ

Translation

✧ Muhammad b. al-Muthanna narrated it to us from Muammal b. Ismail, from Sufyan al-Thawri, from Mansur, from al-Zuhri, from Humayd, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet ﷺ. Hisham b. Sa'd narrated it and erred in its chain, narrating it from al-Zuhri, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah. The meaning is the same even though the wording differs.
