✧ On the day of the conquest, the Messenger of God ﷺ sent to Umm 'Uthman b. Talhah: Send me the key of the Ka'bah. She said: No, by al-Lat and al-'Uzza, I will not send it to you. Someone said: Send to her by force. Her son 'Uthman said: O Messenger of God, she is new to disbelief, so send me to her until I bring it to you. He said: So he went to her and said: O my mother, a matter has come other than what was, and if you do not give me the key, I will be killed! He said: So she brought it out and handed it to him, and he came running with it. When he drew near to the Messenger of God ﷺ, he stumbled and the key fell from his hand. The Prophet ﷺ stood up and leaned over it with his garment and took it. Then he came to the door—I think he said—and opened it. Then he stood at the corners of the House and its sides calling upon God, then he prayed two rak'ahs between the two pillars.
